Hello 2022

Diamond Rings

Hi Friends,

After a well deserved break over the festive period Stelios Jewellers is back with a bang. We trust that you all had a lovely break and special start to 2022. Big love to our clients who became engaged over the holiday period.

New Shop Update

It’s looking to be a lucky year for us…we are mere months away from the big move to our new premises in Mount Hawthorn. The shop and workshop fit out is pushing forward whilst we excitedly plan for newness and lots of room! This wouldn’t be possible without the support of our clients. We are very grateful for you all and as soon as we can confirm a move date we shall share it, watch this space.

Valentines Day

The day of love is approaching on Monday the 14th of February! Please reach out if you’d like assistance with a sparkling Stelios piece to mark the occasion, we have countless options in store and online.

Spotlight: Did you know?

The word Jewel comes from the French word ‘jouel’

The word jewel derives from the old French word ‘jouel’, which translates directly as a plaything, or toy. This is because historically only wealthy people could afford jewellery, and so they referred to them as toys. Jewellery has also been referred to as ‘baubles’ in the past, which is another French word for a toy.

Gold comes from Meteorites

All the gold that has been mined on Earth originally arrived via a meteorite. It is believed that gold arrived on Earth via a huge meteor shower that occurred over 4.5 billion years ago after the Earth’s crust had formed. So, the gold used in the ring on your finger was once roaming around Space. Isn’t that amazing?

Amethyst

The birthstone for February is Amethyst. This beautiful variety of Quartz comes in varying shades ranging from delicate pale mauve through to deep expressive violet. Spiritually, if of interest, the energy of this gemstone is said to help alleviate stress. High quality Amethyst is most commonly mined in Brazil, Uruguay and Zambia.

We love Amethyst and this vibrant gem is perfect for fun, occasional jewellery.

Lastly: Client Safety

We’d like to take this opportunity to let you know that all Stelios staff members are double vaccinated and masked in store as per the current government recommendations. We have a mandatory sign in registry upon entry to the store which we would appreciate your compliance with. We trust you’ll continue to feel safe and comfortable with us as we navigate this unusual period and wish you and your loved ones good health.

Until next time!

Much Love,

The Stelios Team
